It’s nearly that time of year again, where our children try to eat their own body weight in chocolate, and parents try really hard not to get spotted, ‘helping’ their children out with the chocolate mountain (or is that just in my house?) Yes that’s right, it’s Easter time, and the Easter holidays are a great time to spend with loved ones. So, we have had a little brainstorm of things available to do during the Easter holidays, in order to help your offspring burn off the excess sugar, and hopefully help keep your sanity!

NEW GAME ALERT28/1/2022 Some of you may have noticed, that we have not written a blog for a while, but fear not, this does not mean that we have been sitting here twiddling our thumbs (well not all day). If drumrolls were possible in a blog, then I would definitely be warming those drums up at present.
We have exciting news! On the 24th February, 2022, (Imagine the drumroll right now) we will be launching (can you hear it?) our brand NEW immersive outdoor escape game, ‘Operation Mindfall’. 'Teamwork makes the dreamwork', is one of Lorna’s favourite mantras. Here at Beyond Breakout, we are a small, (but perfectly formed) team and after the last 18 months we realise that our favourite mantra has become more important than ever. Now that life is returning to ‘normal’ and people are returning to the workplace, companies are thinking of ways to build team morale and improve relationships. If you have already played an escape room, then you will know how much fun they are, (and here, FUN, is the centre of everything we do!) But did you know, escape rooms are the perfect team building activity? If you're looking for a novel team-building activity that's effective and fun, an escape room could be the answer, and here are 5 reasons why.
The sun is out and so are we!20/7/2021 The sun has got his hat on, and we are extremely excited here at Beyond Breakout! Not because it is the start of the school summer holidays, but because we are launching our new outdoor escape game - Magic Portal. If trying to find something that everyone will enjoy sends you into a cold sweat, then look no further, as Magic Portal is suitable from ages 10 to 100!
NEWtown Experience1/7/2021 Some weeks are better than others, and for us, this week has been purely and simply, fabulous! We have been taking our outdoor escape room experience - Magic Portal - to local schools, where we have been working with children from the age of 9 up to 17. The children worked in teams, and had 2 hours to explore their local area following the route we had plotted, solving puzzles in order to close the Magic Portal in the fastest time possible.
Llamazing Llamas8/6/2021 When people come to play our latest escape room, The Mask, we ask our teams to take a seat by our Llama. This is often met with great amusement, followed by the question, why a Llama? (Not a real one I hasten to add!) This is because, The Mask, is set during the Ancient Inca period, we learned a lot about the Incas as we were designing the room, and how highly they regarded the Llama as a domestic animal. Dad's Appreciation Society6/6/2021 I am sure none of you have forgotten, but Sunday 20th June is Father’s Day. It can sometimes be difficult to think of a gift to show your dad how much he means to you, because let us be entirely honest, he has you - the greatest gift of all! So, we thought one of the best gifts you could give to your dad, is your time, so here are 5 ideas of spending quality time with your dad.
It may only seem like five minutes since the children were on their Easter holidays, but the last 7 weeks have flown by and we now have a half term holiday looming before us. But this holiday is different.
After what feels like a very long winter in lockdown, the restrictions are easing and we can explore the beautiful area we live, and spend valuable time with our friends and family, and have some fun! Here at Beyond Breakout, fun is our middle name (not really, but you get the gist!) so we thought we would compile a list of 10 things you could do with your family this half term.... |
