What are Indoor Escape Rooms?
An Escape room is a popular activity which can be played several people. You enter into a themed space where you must work together to investigate and solve puzzles that will allow you to complete your mission. We have 2 games at Beyond Breakout. View our games here
What is an outdoor Escape Game?
When you play our outdoor escape games you are given an iPad and an action pack. Your team will use the iPad to navigate the route we have designed and solve all the puzzles. Our routes are 3km on average, are fully accessible and dog friendly. We have 2 games at Beyond Breakout. View our games here
How long do games last?
INDOOR GAMES These last 1 hour plus a briefing before you start OUTDOOR GAMES Our outdoor games last 2 hours plus a briefing before you start.
How many players can I have in my group?
INDOOR GAMES Our games are designed for groups of between 2 and 6 players at a time. We do not allow more than 6 people in a room at a time for health and Safety reasons. If your party is larger than 6 players we can split you across two games and you play head to head. OUTDOOR GAMES Teams are between 2 and 6 players. If your group is larger than 6 players we can run up to 5 teams at the same time playing the same game but over varied routes.
What age are the games suitable for?
INDOOR GAMES We don't allow unaccompanied under 13's in the rooms due to safeguarding without an adult. We have found that they may struggle with some of the puzzles without help. We have had younger players as part of a family group and often find the younger players are the secret weapon! Under 16's must have an adult on the premises, you are welcome to sit in our reception area and relax on the sofa while they play. OUTDOOR GAMES Ideally players aged 10 and over will get the most from our outdoor games. Games are suitable for players aged 8 and above as part of a mixed age group Under 16's must have an adult with them.
I have claustrophobia I can't be locked in!
For your safety we never actually lock the doors to our games and the rooms are spacious and well lit. You can come out of the game if you need to at any time, just don't ask us to stop the clock!

Where can I park?
Our carpark is opposite Newtown Railway Station. The car park is free for 2 hours, plenty of time to play an indoor game but not long enough to play an outdoor game. If you are going to be longer than 2 hours the cost is £2 for 24 hours. The machine does not accept card payments. You need to enter your full registration number into the machine. Beyond Breakout has no responsibility for the car park. Watch a video here
How do I find Beyond Breakout?
YOU CAN NOT GAIN ACCESS TO BEYOND BREAKOUT VIA BUILDING ENTRANCE FROM THE CARPARK. We are on the 4th Floor of the Pryce Jones building. Our Entrance is opposite N-Mac Gym on the corner of the building. There are 2 red signs for Business Wales on our door. The 4th floor involves 8 flights of stairs, we don't have Oxygen when you reach us!! We have a well serviced lift on the right as you come through our door. Call the lift, close both doors, head to floor 4, close both doors on exiting.
Are you wheelchair accessible ?
Yes we are. To gain entrance to the building there is one step into the front door where we can provide a wheelchair ramp (contact us before your arrival and we will ensure it is all in place for you). There is then a lift to our floor. Sadly, not all of our rooms are suitable for wheelchair access. The Mask is not wheelchair friendly, but Adventures in Puzzleland is, with only one part that cannot be accessed, but the wheelchair user is still able to interact with the other players to aid them to solve two puzzles in that part of the game.
