Beyond The Classroom - School Experiences
Why choose our outdoor Escape Games?
Our outdoor escape games provide a unique experience for your pupils. The games are designed to promote critical thinking and develop problem solving skills. To play, your pupils have to work in a team to solve the puzzles. This encourages pupils to develop their communication skills by exploring ideas and solutions, whilst also considering ideas and opinions of others, to make a collective decision. As well as being an incredibly fun activity, these games enable children to be physically active and are great for mental health and well-being.

Where do our games take place and how long do they last?
Our outdoor games are completely mobile, and we can come to you. We can set up a game in your school grounds or local area to reduce your need to travel, or in any other area of your choosing. The game duration is approximately 2 hours, with a briefing before and after, so is perfect for either a morning or an afternoon session.
What will my pupils experience?
There should be a maximum of 6 players per team. We provide each team with an iPad and an action pack to solve all the riddles. Thanks to Augmented Reality, virtual avatars magically come to life on the ipad, and the children then begin their quest, using the ipad to navigate maps in order to find the location of their next challenge, where they will use a wide variety of skills to solve each unique puzzle.
What age is it suitable for?
In our experience, children aged 10 and above are the ideal age for this activity. However, each child, class and school is different and we are able to design the puzzles to suit your classes needs, and create a bespoke experience.
What will I pay?
Is there anything else I need to know?
- Players will be split into a maximum of 5 teams.
- Each session lasts 2 hours plus a briefing of approximately 15 minutes.
- Minimum group booking size 12 players

Onsite Escape Room Games
Can schools play your indoor escape rooms?
Yes. Our two indoor escape rooms, ‘The Mask’ and ‘Adventures in Puzzleland’, give you the opportunity to bring your children to come and play a real escape game with us here at Beyond Breakout. Each game is for a maximum of 6 players, meaning we can have 12 children playing at the same time. Although we can’t have a full class playing simultaneously, schools have chosen this option as part of their reward system, to reinforce good behaviour, success and achievement.
What age is this suitable for?
Both games are suitable for children from Year Five upwards, with no scary elements, and the rooms are never actually locked. Our clue system allows us to support each group to the appropriate level, this means that younger players are able to access the games in full.
For High school children we encourage more critical thinking.

I would highly recommend Beyond Breakout for a school trip. The children were fully engaged in the online game whilst running through the woods searching for crystals. Seeing is believing here. They used team work, problem solving, literacy and numeracy skills and map skills to solve the clues.
The children enjoyed every minute, they didn’t want it to end.
Thank you Lorna and Jo, it is wonderful to have such an affordable, high quality experience on our doorstep.
